Prospero Popsicle Slush: Cooking Up a Character Explanation In Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Masque of the Red Death,” the protagonist, Prince Prospero, represents a personified symbol of human life through the stages between birth and death. For my recipe, I parallelled his journey (depicted by the colors of his castle’s various rooms) by contrasting different popsicle flavors.
