Attachment Theory
The attachment theory, developed by John Bowlby, is a psychological explanation for the emotional bonds and interpersonal relationships between children and their caregivers (Cherry 2023). He revolutionized our understanding of human development and interpersonal skills with this infamous theory. Bowlby’s observations established the groundwork for an extensive theory that investigates the dynamics of attachment between young children and their primary caregivers.
