Starting from the beginning, the title of the paper is adequately selected because it completely matches the theme. The abstract is a very informative and concise but, before the description of the methods used, there should be one more introductory sentence in which authors will state the goals of the paper and the reasons for choosing exactly these two mentioned cultivars of apples. The greatest criticism deserves the appearance of Table 1 which is very confusing and hard to interpret. It is quite difficult to see in the table results described in the text. Therefore, it would be much better here to show numbers graphically using scatter plot, where on the x-axis should be different periods during the season, and on the y-axis TA, TSS and pH values. The following four graphs clearly show the results obtained and discussed and they are essential for the results to be interpreted and presented more completely and understandably. The only disadvantage of the graphs is that it shows no standard error anywhere. In this regard, the black columns are not adequate, because in that case it could not be possible to spot the lower limit of the standard error.
Unfortunately, the discussion is the weakest part of the paper, because it includes such a negligible number of references that the other author’s findings, with whom the obtained results should be compared, are very limited. In addition, it is quite annoying that the text commenting the results shown in the graph is at one page and its corresponding graph at the next, which significantly complicates the identification of the key
