Reflection for Puppetry and Puppet Masters
The Community project for children we completed before this unit had peeked my interest and had been very exciting. I believe this is because we had split the roles and knew exactly what we were doing. We had someone making sure everyone is on track and another person to direct us for the final. Others were given smaller tasks such as sound, costume and scenic design. These tasks are all very important, as they together put up a good final. This wasn’t the case for the puppetry and puppet master though. We were given the task to choice our own groups, something we haven’t been accustom in drama. I wasn’t able to work with the group I wanted to because a group member stated whom he wanted, which didn’t include me. Therefore, a fellow classmate and me moved aside, we were asked to form a group with two other classmates. We agreed without taking in to consideration we had no leader. We were quick to come up with a plot, characters and puppet design probably because we had no leader enforcing other ideas. Most the process was complete very soon; we were the first group to conference. After that our time management wasn’t arranged properly as some days we had nothing to do because we finished the task at hand that day. We received a scare that we were going to present a few days before the actual final. This resulted us to take everything more seriously, which should have been the case off the bat. We wasted
