If said puppy does not have enough room to jump around they will more than likely have issues with growth-development. In Puppy Mills, not only do the puppies not have enough room to jump around, a lot of times they don’t even have enough room to walk. Obviously, hygiene is not as important to animals as it is humans but there is still a line that is clearly crossed in Puppy Mills. In the rescuing of puppies in a Puppy Mill in South Carolina there was so little room for each individual puppy that none of them were clean. Every animal’s fur was matted with urine and feces. This causes every animal in the Puppy Mill to have a pungent smell that cannot possibly be ignored by even the dogs themselves.
There are many physical conditions that puppies endure when they are kept in Puppy Mills. The problem with Puppy Mills is that even though the physical conditions are very poor and possibly life threatening, the owners of the Puppy Mills don’t care. Puppies that live in Puppy Mills are kept in wire kennels. These wire kennels were so small that the puppies sometimes don’t even have enough room to walk around in a circle.
