The plot used in Push By Sapphire, by Jacqueline Woodson , was interesting because she is giving the reader a taste of what it like being a girl who feels secluded and not loved. It was a mixture of a lot of emotions , love, hate , concern , stressed. Throughout the story it was never really a dull moment. It always had a detail that was exciting. In the story it actually made you think about all that is really happening in the world. It was a mind-blowing story.

In one of the scenes of the book she is in the office in her school. Her principal found out she was pregnant again. It was a difficult situation because she didn't want the school to know she was pregnant and get sent to a different school. “Nobody loves me! “ at this point Precious had a breakdown. Growing up, after her father left her, her mother was really bitter towards her. So it was very hard for her to get along with her mom let alone live with her. “ You know to this day, I never even knew who you was, not even after all them things you did. Maybe I was too stupid. Maybe I just didn't want to. You ain't gonna see me no more. ” She had enough, she was actually ready to move out and be on her own away from her mom. “He give me his baby and my one before it, but I never see him…” Mrs. Weiss was asking about her life at home. Precious slipped up and started talking about her how her father impregnated her with her two children. By the way she snapped at the counselor when she tried to further the conversation , it was a subject for Precious. In that aspect of her life was traumatizing for her. The story was very enjoyable. It gives you that feel that there is someone out there that loves you and want better for you. Multiple people. All you need is that push and shove to get it
