As a professional, I have a responsibility to engage in continuous professional development. This means taking action to keep my skills and knowledge up to date and seeking to improve your capabilities across the range of tasks I carry out daily.
Continually improving my knowledge is essential to my role and ensures that I have the skills and knowledge needed to create the best provision for children. I need to be aware of the most up to date legislations and guidelines, including the EYFS and the welfare requirements.

These are valuable experiences for all staff attending as they are mostly ran by knowledgeable and experienced professionals, where you can ask questions, join in with debates and generally have a good and memorable learning experience.
These experiences are then shared among all staff in regular staff meeting so that all staff not just those attending the training gain some new knowledge or can be refreshed with what they are ready know.
To be able to develop well within your role you need good relationships with your colleagues so you are able to be honest about what training need can be identified for them as well as giving them the support to access and carry out the training.
