QML is one of the largest pathologies in the state, QML's missions statement is to deliver better insights into health of Australians. Building peoples trust through the teamwork, accountability and the integrity. Building the trust with clients is the key to delivering the mission.

QML's provides many products and services not only with humans but also animals. They provide, as listed below: Blood testing, drug and alcohol testing, drug screening and testing, certain cancer testing, fertility, bodily fluid test and genic testing and for your furry friends they provide clinical testing services combined with specialist diagnostic consultation with the vets.

An internal customers is directly connected to the organisation such as employees, shareholders and stakeholders. The second type of customer is the external which is other companies buying QML's products.
5. What regulatory body/accreditation are relevant to this laboratory (if any) and why?
The accreditation for QML is served by the National Association of testing authorities for short the NATA. The NATA is the authority that provides assurance of technical competence. It is done through recognised networks of practice industry experts for those customers who require confidence in delivery of their products and services. It is important that the business has the accreditation as they have to comply with relevant international and Australian standards and are competent to provide reliable testing, calibration, measurement and inspection of date the government, industry and the community.
