The purpose of this article is to analytically classify and examine the existing evidence connected to the level and degree in which nurses utilizes research outcomes their practice. During this study a systematic review was preceded using a level 1 evidence. Data was collected by searching 13 online bibliographic databases Dissertation Abstracts, Web of Science, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, SCOPUS , EMBASE CINAHL, HAPI, OCLC WorldCat , ABI Inform, Sociological Abstracts, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, OCLC Papers First, MEDLINE, and OCLC. A sensitivity analysis, equating the 55 articles that meet the inclusion criteria included quasi-experimental (n4) designs and cross-sectional/survey (n51). Exclusion criteria were subjects with less than 6 months of NP experience. Results revealed that the NPs studies were pleased with independence, challenges and reimbursements with their job. However they were insignificantly content with proficient advancement, and partnership. 27% of the NPs planned to leave their present employment, and 5.5% indicated to the leave their NPs role and nursing profession.
