In the article “Land of the Free” by Jaweed Kaleem, it discusses how Colin Kaepernick protest racial discretion by not standing a showing respect to the American flag during the national anthem before an NFL game. Kaepernick is a part of the “Black Lives Matter” movement that is sweeping the nation because of the police shootings of unarmed African American people.
