Racial tension is still very prevalent in modern society, an example being racial profiling. Racial profiling is simply put, a policy that asks officers to stop pedestrians based on their ethnicity, gender and race (Quezzaire, 2015, para. 1). This in turn, unintentionally places a racial bias on innocent bystanders (Quezzaire, 2015, para. 2). This idea of profiling can be found in Tupac Shakur’s “Changes”. “Cops give a damn about a negro? Pull the trigger, kill a nigga, he's a hero,” (Shakur, T., Evans, D., Hornsby B., 1998) directly refers to how police officers use this policy to gain notoriety in the media and country. A study by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) stated that “55 percent of white Americans” and “83 percent of African
