I can still remember when we were young and all we worried about was who we were going to hang out with after school. We didn't care what people thought or said about us. But when we started high school it was all different, criticism was hurtful, body shaming was a thing, and racism came to be a problem.
I remember one day at school when i came in i saw that my friend was talking to some of her friends and then i suddenly hear a word that took my attention, one of her friends called her a “wetback” I didn't say anything because I didn't know what the word meant. “Wetback” has sparked dozens of mini-scandals over the past year. Many people who have been caught using this word offensively have been forced to apologize. (usatoday.com). During the period of 1848-1928 people of Mexican descent were killed by mob violence or lynchings which are killings occurring in Texas. (nbcnews.com)
Many cities such as Texas has suffered hard from racism problems and scandals. Hundreds of people have had stories of their experiences in Texas and some of them are so heartbreaking.
Students with or workers with a Mexican background are being discriminated by their fellow students or work mates.
In a poll there was found that the darker Mexican Americans, therefore, appearing more stereotypically Mexican, report 2 times more discrimination than their fellow American students.
