The most infamous American vigilante group, the Ku Klux Klan started in the 1860s, was notorious for assaulting and lynching Black men for transgressions that would not be considered crimes at all, had a White man committed them (Turner and Vandiver, 2006).
When you take a good look at the present situation of the world today, there is hardly any political, religious, scientific, racial or ethnic group that has escaped the involvement of the violent changes that are transpiring in the world today. People are altogether ignorant of what is happening in the world today and why it’s happening. People are blind and devoid of understanding that we are all equal.
In conclusion, the legacy of racism continues to suppress the persons of the past, present and the future generations. There are hate crimes committed against the African American community by the Klu Klux Klan groups and the Skin Heads. What is the Federal government doing to protect the African American citizens against these individuals that commit such crimes? Is our criminal justice system fair to all races in America? There were state laws (e.g. Jim Crow) designed to keep the blacks subservient to the Caucasian race. How can we (as a united nation) come together to end
