The result of this experiment was that the amount of seeds germinated were 100 percent with the controls- tap and distilled water. The radish seeds that had salt water the germination decreased as the salt-water concentration increased. There was no sign of germination that occurred when there were more that 1.5 teaspoons. of salt or higher. The more salt that is in the water will cause fewer seeds to germinate.
In order to accomplish this the filters were placed in the plastic bags. The coffee filters were wet with 1 tablespoon of salt water from the cups that increased in salt concentration by 1/2 teaspoon of salt in each cup of 8 oz. of water.
