In the rainmaker lab the testable question was, what causes precipitation to eventually fall back to Earth’s surface? It was predicted that If warm air rises in the atmosphere then it will decreases temperature and will condense, and a phase change will occur which will cause it to fall because it will have a change in density and in temperature. The prediction above was supported by qualitative observations. In the lab the following observations were made. There are drops of water forming on the bottom of the foil pan, from the steam of the water evaporating from the pot this is condensation. When you put your hand on the bottom of the foil it is cold but the other side of your hand is very warm from the steam of the water so the temperature
