The article that I was required to read was about NFL star Ray Rice. He played running back for the Baltimore Ravens for six years. He allegedly abused his fiancée Janay Palmer. The incident was even shown on camera. TMZ posted the video online, available to every social media user. Rice was captured dragging a woman away from an elevator. This video quickly spread everywhere, causing fans to want a reaction to the situation from the NFL. What would be his punishment? Why did this happen? This was surely running through everyone’s mind at this time. Rice was charged with aggravated assault, his charges were dropped shortly after he agreed to be counseled. The NFL suspended Rice for two games during the regular season.
