gave an explicit description of a program called Reading Racetrack. The program suggested that sight words and math facts could be presented to students, and after 3 or 4 times of exposure the students would read the words or the facts placed around a race track. The opportunity to be exposed to the words with flash cards and then have the information put on the track for fun practice is successful for fact and word recognition. I took this premise, because I could not purchase the program and try my version to expose and teach sight words as well as grade specific words to my struggling third grade student.
