An outstanding teacher is someone who is able to adapt to different situations. Each day is a new day. The results that a teacher got yesterday might not be the same result today. Therefore, it is important to shift plans to meet the current challenges of the day. Being flexible requires an outstanding teacher to be vigilant, constantly checking in to make sure that students are meeting the desired expectation. It is imperative that an outstanding teacher uses data to inform their instruction. Data helps an outstanding teacher to make the necessary adjustments, progress monitor, and differentiate instruction based on the different levels of readiness, interests, and learning profiles of each student.
