The sound of a gunshot from a muzzle loader has an ear-splitting tone when it is shot in front of you. In order to recognized as an adult, a person would be required to complete an outstanding feat that would greatly amount to you and your family. I shot my first deer when I was 16 and was admitted into adulthood by my entire family. One of the most important transitions in life is adulthood. It is achieved legally when age 18 is reached, but a person can achieve adulthood a few years before.

Hunting season for deer was starting In October and I had prepared myself for the achievement that I would soon be awarded. Before I was eligible to hunt, I first had to be in attendance for two hunter courses and then take the test for my hunting license. The first class was six hours long and consisted of an introduction into hunter safety rules and regulations. The second class was the next day and was nine hours long.The second class was a review of what was taught the day before and in the last hour of the class the test was given out. Me and my uncle climbed down the ladder of the deer stand, and my entire body was shaking. It was a feeling I had never felt before, and it was not because I was nervous or scared. I had learned that it is just a reflex for some hunters. Even a hunter veteran can be shaking after shooting their successful hunt. I was very excited to tell my parents and cousin whom had been rooting for me to get my first deer. My uncle had skinned the deer for me because he first had to intrude me on how to do it properly. He gave me the meat from the deer and we went home. I have been waiting for that chance for 3 years. As soon I arrived home I was congratulated by my parents and cousin. The next day my mother had taken the deer meat and put it on the
