a) Explain how Christians view ‘work’ as an important part of God’s plan?
Christians view work as an important part of God’s plan, this is that work is a basic human need, this is a need to contribute to society, and this further gives us access to the earth’s resources. Everyone is called to help contribute to God’s creative work and also to the further community this can be through, volunteer work or generally helping out someone in your community, work is not always employment as employment is the way you earn an income to support your family rather to help contribute to the community, God’s values of work is not based on the individual worker as a person and not on the income of that person.
b) Discuss the four ways for recognizing Christian vocation.
Christian Vocation is a life calling from God, this can be recognized through the sense of a direct calling from God, it can be recognized with other peoples help, though looking back and reflecting on your talents and previous achievements or even through the suggestion of another person.
