He began opening over 30 karate studios in which he taught kids and adults the art of Karate in the 1960’s. Chuck Norris then went on to use his skills in martial arts and compete in many tournaments. In 1968, he won the World Middleweight Karate Championship and he went on to defend the title for five more years. With his fame in acting and skills in martial arts, he went on to train many celebrities such as Priscilla Presley and actor Steve McQueen (Biography Chuck Norris). Altogether, Chuck Norris was able to inspire both adults and children to practice karate as well as train many celebrities. Furthermore, Chuck Norris went on to win a karate championship six times thus proving that he is skilled in martial arts which ultimately lead to his rise in fame and show he is a Renaissance Man to the world.
