The Purple Loosestrife is an invasive species in the United States. It has no natural predators, but it does have an enemy. It is a Beetle. The beetle is an enemy because it feeds on invasive plants. There are many plants that look like the Purple Loosestrife, but there are two main ones. These include fireweed and the spirea. The second fact about this plant is that in ecology there are relationships between plants. There is not a relationship between these plants but the purple loosestrife acts like a parasite towards wildlife, it can rapidly replace native vegetation eliminating nesting, shelter, and food. It also has long, thick roots that stretch out, reducing space and nutrients for other native plants. By the way, they are all over the
