Money definitely does not buy happiness. In the poem “Richard Cory”, Richard Corey was immensely rich, “richer than a king”, yet at the end of the day he was still not happy with his life. (Robinson 9). He even went as far as putting “a bullet through his head” because he was not happy. (Robinson 16). In my personal experience, I have realized that money does not buy happiness. I grew up in a household that was on the border between lower middle class and upper lower class in terms of funds.
