As many may recall or remember reading from earlier this month, the Lattimer massacre occurred on September 10th, 1897. What is unbeknown to many is that this is not simply a massacre, but an indictment of the entire labor system in America. An indictment on the labor systems of this country and the foundations of the “American Dream.” Every single victim were coal miners of Polish, Slavic or German descent. Nineteen were viciously killed while many suffered from horrific wounds.
