For my research paper, I will be using Marxism for my critical approach. Marxism, the political theory of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, is the idea that the lower class, the proletariat, will rise up against the higher class, the bourgeoisie, to survive. The theory is centered around economics and a clash of classes so that proletariat can destroy the bourgeoisie. This is because the lower class must rise up to seize the wealth and the means of production from the upper class so that eventually the class system and government can be removed as a whole. Making everyone equal because they’re in the same class.
