Everyone has gotten into a fight with their peers. Whether it be with a classmate or a significant other. This Universal situation is used in both the short story “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury, and the song “These Days” by Rudimental. In “All Summer in a Day”, the children are jealous of Margot because she remembers the sun. In “These Days”, the two characters broke up their relationship because they were in a fight. In both “All Summer in a Day” and “These Days” we learn that in life, sometimes it is better to resolve conflicts instead of holding a grudge.
A common theme in both of these texts is to resolve conflicts instead of holding grudges. In “all Summer in a Day”, the children desperately want to see the sun.
