In the poem, “Acquainted with the Night” the author, Robert Frost uses a variation of rhyme scheme and structure to change the tone and meaning of the poem. It’s consistent structure and rhyme scheme up until the last stanza helps the poem retain one tone throughout, as both stay the same until the very end. In addition to this the meter, emphasizing different sections throughout the poem tells you which parts are the most important.
At first when examining the poem for its rhyme scheme, it seems to be nothing out of the ordinary for the first four stanzas, it seemingly ABA rhyme scheme, ending on stanza 5 with an AA rhyme. When looked at closer, it actually has an ABA
