Without doubt Hugo was a very influential colleague in Jake’s past. His way of taught impressed the main character so much that he was afraid of insulting their friendship which in consequence made him to flee with no explanations. As Jake captured the ideas of Hugo into the Silencer he built this image of betrayal Hugo might felt towards his ideas being used without his consent.
