The “two books” of revelation Entwistle discusses holds that there are two sources of revelation of God. The first “book” is special revelation, the Bible. The second “book” is the book of creation or God’s works. Both books, according to Entwistle (2010), “have their origins in God’s creativity and revelation” (p. 136). This perspective forms the basis that Entwistle uses to integrate Christianity and psychology. Christianity formulates the basic worldview to understand and integrate what we discover about God’s works into our understanding of reality. The question becomes, then, when a discrepancy arises, which “book” has greater authority in order to determine what is true?
