Revenge
The poem “Rolling In The Deep”, a song was written by Adele Adkins, a English R&B Singer and Songwriter. Adele has written plenty of songs; most are based on her past relationships. But this one caught my attention. The theme of the song focuses on realization and betrayal. She uses detailed literary devices and figurative language to get her message across. I think “Rolling In The Deep” is an expression of deep love. She may have thought that he was the one, and that their love would last, but instead he was testing their love.
Adele opens the poem um up with there’s a fire starting in my heart, reaching a fever and its bringing me out the dark- she’s letting us know that that she feels so much pain that it feels like fire. Its reaching a fever because she feels as if she is about to explode if she continues to stay in this unhealthy relationship Finally I can see you crystal clear, go ‘head and sell me out and I’ll let your ship bare- now that I see you are the man you really are deep down, you can leave this relationship and I won’t care at all. See how I’ll leave with every piece of you, don’t underestimate the things that I will do- even though the relationship is over the feelings and memories will still remain with her. Don’t underestimate the things that I will, she saying to him don’t think that I won’t get my revenge. The scars of your love remind me of us, they keep me thinking that we could’ve had it all.- For
