“... you look as such a good soul should.” This statement was mentioned by Reverend Hale when he first saw Rebecca Nurse in Salem. Rebecca Nurse is a good Christian woman known for her charitable work throughout Salem. Unfortunately, she gets accused of the supernatural killing of Ann Putnam’s babies and therefore being a witch. Rebecca Nurse and I have similar personality traits such as being charitable to our communities, nurturing to others, and being determined individuals. Rebecca Nurse and I can both be seen as charitable women. When Reverend Hale first came to Salem, he knew of Rebecca Nurse because he heard talk about her in Beverly. Hale states, “We have all heard of your great charities in Beverly.” I volunteer at a local fire department …show more content…
Rebecca was caring to her 11 children and 26 grandchildren. I have two sisters, one older and one younger. I am nurturing to my younger sister. I am very helpful to her. I help her with school work and other concerns that I have already experienced. I also enjoy babysitting my old neighbor’s grandchildren. I care for the two little girls on weekends. Finally, Rebecca Nurse and I have being determined individuals in common. Rebecca states, “... let us go to God for the cause of it.” This shows how she was determined to find out the truth about what and why these things were happening to the girls. I am determined when it comes to my school work. I am always focused on doing the best I can on tests and graded assignments. I leave time everyday to make sure all of my homework and studying gets accomplished. I am also detemined on and off the softball field. Everyday, I make sure I get a good workout in, whether it is softball related or just walking around my neighborhood. I am always determined to be the best player that I can be. Playing softball in college is also a possibility for me. This is my overall goal and I am willling to do everything I can to get this end result. Being nurturing, determined, and charitable are similarities between myself and Rebecca Nurse. Rebecca Nurse is a person I look up to and I strive to be more like her in my
