Bill Clinton's “I have misled the People” was delivered August 17,1998.This speech was presented shortly after he testified before the office and independent counsel and the grand jury. His tired and aggravated attitude was clearly shown throughout this speech.”I misled the people” is completely different from what the title leads on.Based on the title one would think Clinton admits his wrongdoings and takes ownership of it but in fact the exact opposite occurs.Throughout the speech Clinton uses different types of rhetorical appeals to inform the audience to move on from the subject. He goes on to say “I answered all their questions truthfully including questions about my private life, questions no American citizen would ever want to answer.”
