I shouldn't of let no stranger shoot my dog.”(61). Foreshadowing the event of George shooting Lennie himself, doing the right thing.

Characterization is another factor that helped me understand George did the right thing. A character slim, seen as God like, assured George of doing the right thing when saying, “ you hadda George. I swear you hadda.(118).
