During the Aseres Yemei Teshuva, I attended Mrs. Selengut’s story-filled speech, given to members of the community to inspire the audience in the ways of teshuva. Her speaking style was question and answer format, with multiple short stories to illustrate every point. Mrs. Selengut’s speaking style was spirited and a bit considerate. Her speech is entertaining, because she excels in the art of story-telling. Using voice inflection and dramatic hand movements, she acts out her stories. Mrs. Selengut’s passionate speech was delivered with an aura of self-confidence. Mrs. Selengut left no telltale signs of stress.
