Dennis Kearney, an Irish immigrant that came to the United States, who became an active labor leader with his virulent anti-Chinese speeches, in my viewpoint his arguments seemed hypocritical. Being an Irish immigrant himself, I thought he would have been more understanding, but his manner was hostile, arrogant over immigrants and uncivilized. Kearney blamed the Chinese for keeping jobs scarce, leaving the Americans with less options and taking majority of the land. According to the article, he portrays a vivid level of frustration and anger towards the immigrants blaming them for the economic issues.
