Rhy And Lucy Relationship

Lucy's relationships with the male characters in this novel is very different from her relationships with the female characters. While Lucy is very close to her mother and Mariah and openly acknowledges the complexity of her relationship with them, she is much more dismissive and towards her relationships with her father, Lewis, Hugh and Paul. They are much more simplistic, and Lucy usually only observes the men in her life from a more emotionally detached perspective.
