In Europe, the leader of German, which was Adolf Hitler, the head of the Nazis. In 1935,Hitler enlarged the German Army from 100,000 men to 350,000 men, he also started to build up his German Air force and his Navy, and started to invade German speaking countries like, Rhineland (France), Austria, and Czechoslovakia with his German military, which he was not supposed to do, because it broke the Treaty of Versailles, which stated that, “Germany had to pay back millions of dollars in reparations (the hurt that Germany had caused during WWI), that the German military could be no greater than 100,000 men, that the German navy could not build any large war ships, that there could be no German Air Force, and lastly that the German empire was to be divided among the victorious allies (i.e. England took over Germany’s possessions in Africa, Japan, parts of Asia, and some Pacific Islands were given to Australia and New Zealand). But Britain and France did not attack, until September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland, which caused the beginning of World War 2 to happen in Europe, when Britain and France declared war on Germany, after trying to their best not to get into a war after World War 1 ended. Also in the Pacific, Japan militarism was a cause of the World War 2 in the Pacific. When citizens gave up in their government of that time, due to the economic problems they had, as a result made them turn to military to help them get out of their situation. So the military invaded an area (Manchuria, China) that was rich minerals and resources, due to the military trying to get natural resources to put in their factories to produce more goods, which could bring in money for the citizens of Japan, which was going to get them
