Some of the ways the film accurately displayed Richard’s life and his career are scenes of him killing for pleasure, such as killing a man because he didn’t like something that the man said to him (site film). This scene was at the beginning of the film and started the film off perfectly by displaying how bad of a temper Richard had and how easily he could end someone’s life for the simplest reason (site movie). Although the film displayed a lot of Richard’s home life and free time, most of the film focused on Richard’s career as a contract killer for the mafia (site movie).
Although one aspect of Richard’s real life, such as the brutality of his killings and the various methods he used to kill was not displayed, but considering this was just a film and they couldn’t show everything that really happened, it was still well done (website).
Besides the killing and the work Richard did for the mafia, the film also did an accurate job of displaying Richard’s feelings toward his family. Although displaying verbal abuse and minor violence towards his wife within the film, the amount of footage that was show of his family and close friends proves how normal of a life a serial killer can have, or seem to have (site
