Richard Lowery, 62, of Wichita went missing on August 22, 2016, after flood waters swept his son and him down SW 210 Street. Officer Nicole Assante of the El Dorado Police Department was dropping off her car at Smileyberg Transmissions, when she found Richard’s body in a field down SW 210 Street.
Richard and his son Samuel,38, were swept away by strong flood waters on September 19th. Samuel was able to escape out the window of his dad’s truck and grab onto a log. He was found in a soybean field the next morning. He was suffering from hyperthermia and disorientation but was fine. Richard’s truck had been found ,but Richard was still missing.
