Richard Nelson Near Death Experience

Not everyone will find themselves believing in near death experiences, or NDE’s, and not everyone will experience one. However, there have been numerous accounts of these experiences written throughout history. In the book Near Death Experiences authors Lee Nelson and his son Richard Nelson worked together to record a number of short stories about people all over the world that have died and returned. On the website nderf.org it lists a wealth of information as well as stories from people that have also had near death experiences. I noticed some similarities from both sources and I would like to share a few.
As I read through the book Near Death Experiences I came a cross the following information from authors Lee and Richard Nelson that explains what one could possibly encounter when a near death experience occurs.

We call this experience death. If the subject is in the hospital, he/she can see the doctors or attendants frantically trying to revive the body, or he/she can hear them pronouncing the body dead-but cannot see or hear the spirit. The new spirit body is found to be different, consisting of a finer spirit matter that allows the individual to pass through walls or other physical objects.
On nderf.org I found an article titled, Near Death Experience Overview written by Dr. Jeff. In this article he lists a number of possible experiences one might encounter. There was one experience that grabbed my attention as it was quite similar to the quote from the book. Dr. Jeff’s describes that when one experiences the phenomenon of leaving your body you oftentimes view the areas around you from above. Some have even seen their own bodies from a distance (Jeff).
