Task #2 : Pop 1. Pop music was developed in the United states and Britain in the 1930s and 1940s. Frank Sinatra, Al Bowly, and Bing Crosby are among the first pop stars. 2. Pop music spread widely around the world, but it took a while because it could only be spread orally. 3. Popular music could spread only orally, which greatly limited its geographic area and duration over time. 4. Popular music was spread because it was the new, different kind of music that contained different aspects of other kinds of music. 5. Nothing and no one prevented the spread of pop music, it was normally well liked by almost everyone. 6. This was contageous diffusion. The idea of pop music was a revolution, it was new and different and it was popular. 7. The idea was altered as it was diffused. The general idea of pop music was altered and now there is sub-genres of it. Now there's Korean Pop (Gangnam style etc.), Christian Pop, Pop Country, Dance Pop, European Pop, Baroque Pop, Power Pop, Teen Pop, traditional Pop, Bubblegum Pop, Operatic Pop, and many more. 8. Pop music was accepted by a wide range of different people. Teenagers, young adults, middle aged people, and older.
Task #3 : Salsa 1. The Salsa originated in New York City in immigrant communities from Puerto Rico and Cuba. This was in the 1970s. 2. The idea of Salsa music spread through the continents of North and South America. And is now popular in countries such as Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, Panama, Puerto Rico, Venanzuela, and Peru. 3. Technology was only mildly developed so there wasnt internet, so it took a while for the idea of salsa music to
