Some women have health complications during pregnancy, such as ectopic pregnancy, toxemia, or uterus ruptures. These complications can be harmful to the person and cause health problems in the future. Also, some women die from pregnancy complications. Having an abortion can assuage these issues from getting the mother sick or worse. Most women’s bodies cannot carry a baby due to multiple reasons such as past health issues, weight issues, and ovarian problems like ovarian cancer. Having complications from pregnancy can already be stressful, but not having the option for help due to restricted abortion laws only exacerbates the stress. Furthermore, there are plenty of health reasons which can cause high-risk pregnancies which leave the mother and fetus vulnerable. So many women since Roe v Wade have shared some of the most traumatic stories about not being able to get a safe abortion. For example, I saw this article back when Roe v. Wade was first overturned when a woman who had a molar pregnancy which was cancerous, was told she could not get an abortion even though there was no survival for the baby. Women should have the choice to do what is best for their health and body. As a result, some women have resulted in unsafe abortions, which only exacerbates the issue. Some people are not mentally, physically, or emotionally prepared to have children. Mental and emotional health is very important when dealing with babies and can take a significant toll on you. Also, depending on the mother’s age or stability in their life, it can affect their mental health. Having the right to an abortion can help people who are not ready to become parents. Pregnancy can change a woman significantly, not just physically, but mentally as well. There is a lot of stress that comes with preparing to bring a child into this world after the baby is born, which leads most women to postpartum depression. Postpartum depression is very dangerous pertaining to the mother and the child because the mother is not mentally well now. Women should not have to worry about that issue or be forced into that position. It is a serious issue that occurs a lot of times in our world today because these women have no support until it is too late. This needs to be taken into consideration before denying women their right to an abortion. In my opinion, depression seems too common in new mothers or women preparing to become mothers. Some women commit suicide because they cannot deal with the stresses of being a parent when they are not ready to be one. There seems to be no support for these women, which is crucial. The mental health of the woman carrying the baby is pivotal. However, it seems that our
