What is the most important theme? Tons of themes could be in the Roman Conspiracy, depending on your point of view. Although there are those many themes that would work for The Roman Conspiracy, I think friendship is a theme that stands out. It is one of the big, main themes in the book. Most of the book is revolved around perserverance and frendship. It explains why Tullia, Aulus, Homer, and the Consul are such good friends and work hard together.

On page 69, the text clearly states friendship when Aulus states “...we must protect the Consul!” Therefore, if they weren’t friends, Aulus woudn’t feel the need to protect the Consul.
