While Romeo was in love with Rosaline, Rosaline was not in love with him. Romeo always felt sorrowful because Rosaline would always reject him. Rosaline was playing hard to get, but Romeo was not capable of forgetting how beautiful she was. Later, a delivery man came to read the list of the people invited to Capulets party. Romeo was dejected about Rosaline but Benvolio had told him that the beauties of Verona would be there and he could meet new ladies.
A few hours further, Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio were about to enter Capulet’s house. Once they enter, Romeo begins to greet everyone at the party. After sitting, dancing and eating, Romeo gazed at Juliet. And, of course, Juliet sighted him as well. Romeo takes Juliet by the hand, and acknowledges how stunning Juliet is and how he instantly fell in love with her. Juliet has then had her lips kissed by Romeo. They flirt for a while, until it is time to leave.
The next night, Romeo sneaks into Juliet’s backyard and they converse about how they had an amazing time at the party, and Romeo tries to win over Juliet’s love. Juliet feels she wants to get to know Romeo more. He is flattered to know that Juliet is interested but not yet so confident that she loves him as much as he loves her.
