William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is one of the most well-known love stories of all time but is also the most tragic. The death of the ‘star-cross’d lovers’, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, turned what could have been one of the greatest love story into a tragedy. Numerous readers and viewers have been sceptic about who was to take responsibility for their death. The Friar and the Nurse are of great influence but it seems like Romeo and Juliet’s are of a major role in their fates.

Romeo’s tendency to be impulsive and melodramatic have been the origins of all problems during the play. His decisions to act without thinking have caused doom to befall on their ‘death-marked love’. During Act I, Romeo meets and falls in love with Juliet.
