Rosce Hogan was the first person to die of the West Niles Virus. Charles Hogan identified Rosce Hogan as his father after seeing his torn up body along with deep mosquito bites deep in his skin. At first, Hogan says his dad went into the hospital with a few side effects, including lack of hydration, fever, and vomiting. They, at first, thought he simply got dried out and trusted he would have the strength to return home after only a few days.
