Rotting Brains Imagine a world where sitting down to relax and enjoy a nice television show results in your brain decomposing into a gooey mass of nothing. A place where viewing television is a risk factor and the side affects resulted in your brain slowly rotting away. Personally, seeing as though I am a fan of watching an endless amount of television, it never really crossed my mind the consequences behind watching an excessive amount. I have always recognized television as a positive way to spend my evenings, considering a person could learn a lot from an intriguing documentary. Although, the amount of television you watch and what you watch could easily become a negative factor, television does not rot your brain because it provides you with a wide variety of accepted knowledge. Living in a society where everyone around you has mutated brains of mush would not be very appealing. Today in age, our society revolves around the television and is how most of us receive our entertainment. Despite the acknowledgment that television is not the healthiest way to spend your spare time, it is actually an acceptable way of learning. There are an endless amount of children's television shows which actually allow children to expand their knowledge by learning the ABC’s, developing simple mathematic skills, and acknowledging different color patterns. Conclusively, television creates a positive environment for people to learn new things while being
