All across history there are many injustices committed against individuals and groups because of their race, group, or religion which can all be done on a large scale. One of the most influential and gruesome hate crimes would be the Rwandan genocide which stemmed from prejudice against their social class/ jealousy. This was a hate crime committed between two different tribes in Rwanda, the hutu’s against the tutsi’s. This genocide and hatred occurred because of jealousy that the Hutus had since the Belgians favored the tootsies over them. When the Belgians came to colonize Rwanda there were two main groups with, the majority of the people being Hutu and the minority being Tootsie.
