As a current delegate for the Breakthrough program at Ted Rogers School of Management, I was able to connect with student leaders in the student community, as well business professionals in various professions. Through this program, I have grown to embrace leadership in different ways from mentorship, to being involved in campus, to networking with industry professionals. Within the program, my team was the winner of the Breakthrough case competition that was judged by a panel of TRSM faculty professors, and industry professionals. It is also through my delegation into DECA U where I applied my knowledge in several strands of business and showcase my communication, and analytical skills in the provincial individual case competitions for marketing. Additionally, as a mentor for the Tri-Mentoring Program, I facilitate students in navigating through university. I believe that through RMA, I will grow professionally, and academically so that I can in turn raise awareness about the marketing world to students at TRSM who may have hesitations or misconceptions about marketing. Through my employment at Costco Wholesale as a marketing/membership assistant, my job is selling and essentially marketing the various levels of membership, affiliated services and credit cards at the membership desk and throughout the warehouse. Although it is only a small strand in the marketing industry, the application of marketing concepts such as, targeting different segments and cohorts, brand positioning, and value preposition, gave me a sense of marketing and because I enjoy my job, I believe that my future aspirations lie in becoming a marketing professional in the corporate
