SUTA Vacation Paper

About two weeks ago, my supervisor and two of my colleague was at vacation, and one of my colleague was sick at home. So there were only 3 people in the office including me. However, we only have three days before the SUTA (State Unemployment Tax Act) is due. At the same time many of our clients have not provide their October payroll and sales of October yet. We need to contact these clients to provide the October payroll and sales, and then prepare payroll checks for their employees and then prepare October sales tax and SUTA tax for them before the SUTA due day.
We had a lots pressure this time, because we only had three people in the office. It seemed impossible for us to finish this before the due day. Usually each one of us would take care a whole process of a client from call them, save documents, …show more content…
Because each one of us only focus on one or two works, the chance of make a mistake decreased and the speed of processing increased. I was very glad Jenny came up with that idea, otherwise there is no way we could finish all the SUTA on time. This is a very good example of synergy, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. In this particular example, Jenny developed a third alternative to make the works became easier for everyone. Most of clients have not provide October information to us have a lots negative synergy. Just like it being described in the text book, these clients are highly self-centered; they did not provide necessary information to us in a timely manner, but they do put a lot pressure and required we to finished their payroll and taxes in time.
